hey y’all!
okay, so it’s taken me a while to get around to posting my recent treasure finds. but here we are.
it’s friday night and let me start with this: SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!!! (okay, you have to imagine me playing an air guitar and screaming, ala alice cooper).
i know, i know. i’m not school nursing right now and my son matt is home-schooled … BUT, my hubby is still serving time in the public schools, and he is VERY happy to see this particular year END. WOOHOO!! i know it was a tough year, babe … but you made it! congrats on the taks scores, in spite of all the challenges! you’re the BEST 4th grade teacher ever!
alright, alright. enough hubby praises. on with the show. instead of blathering on and on, i’ll let my pics do the talking (i just want you to know how painful that is for me. not talking.).
but before we get to the pics …
last weekend i went solo to a few sales in the ‘hood. some a bust, some a blast. this weekend started TODAY with a couple of yard sales in belton … one of which was sue’s friend cindy’s. got some cute things there (thanks for the sweet deals cindy!), pics are below.
and one final note. i recently redid an old cedar chest. well, not sure how old it is, probably about 25 years, which really isn’t that old as far as the vintage world is concerned. but old enough. it was dark, very dark. and the seat was upholstered in colors and a pattern that didn’t suit me.
it sat on my patio for a couple of months before i finally started the project (THIS is why i could never have a booth … i can’t produce fast enough). and then it took me several days to complete the re-make. but i must admit, it looks pretty good. am v. pleased with the results. pics below.
okay, now i’m truly done talking. for now. hope y’all find just what you’re looking for this weekend.
love and hugs,
terry lee
